Yuvoo Platform
A consumer-facing platform connecting parents with verified sports clubs and medical specialists, requiring GDPR-compliant handling of child data, AI-powered personalization at scale, and trust-building through verified content. The platform needed to balance user experience clarity with regulatory compliance and future extensibility.
Challenge
Building a scalable frontend foundation for a consumer platform where UX clarity, trust, and future extensibility are more important than rapid feature accumulation. The platform needed to handle GDPR-compliant child data, provide seamless AI questionnaire flows, and maintain trust through verified content.
Key Decisions & Trade-offs
Design system as a foundation, not a deliverable
Treated UI components as part of the product architecture, not a separate artifact.
Trade-off: slower initial development, accepted for long-term UI consistency and easier scaling.
Progressive complexity over feature velocity
Features were added only when they reinforced core user flows.
Trade-off: fewer features early on, balanced by higher UX clarity and lower maintenance cost.
Next.js with a modular mental model
Used to structure the application around domains rather than pages alone.
Trade-off: additional discipline required to avoid framework-driven coupling.
UX-driven architectural decisions
Frontend architecture choices were evaluated against user trust and onboarding clarity.
Trade-off: rejecting technically "interesting" solutions in favor of simpler, more predictable ones.
